Merchandise Sale Specialist (MSS)

Jason joined DENTALEZ in early 2022, as part of the Merchandise Sale Specialist (MSS) team focused on selling Star Handpieces and Columbia Dentoform Teaching Aids in a territory that includes California, Nevada, Hawaii and Guam.

Jason, is an industry professional that has been servicing and building meaningful relationships with clinicians and others in the dental industry for almost 2 decades. His desire to serve his customers at the highest-level crosses over into his desire to lift his colleagues in any way he can.

He brings extensive dental sales experience to our team, and we asked him to tell us more about that background and how he applies it to his work with us today. What roles had you previously held that helped you learn specific things for your position today?

I have a 16-year dental sales background in the dental implant market, working with BioHorizons, Straumann and MIS (Dentsply Sirona), primarily in Southern California. I have brought my passion for working with dental offices and their dealer distributors to DENTALEZ and fallen in love with selling the full Star Handpiece line. 

What do you like about working in the dental industry?

Every single day brings a new challenge, and no two days are the same.

I also love working with dealer reps as their resident expert on Star products. The product line is so diverse, I can help provide solutions for almost every segment of their dental office call points. It is also great to have such a unique territory to cover that includes so many dealers, big and small, that can help promote and sell the Star handpiece line.

What's your favorite aspect of your job?

I like that my job is a combination of working both with the dealer reps and the dental practices, to both sell and educate on Star Handpieces. The education component really adds value to my work, building relationships, and helping the end-user choose the right tool for the right job.

What's your favorite DENTALEZ product and why? 

Honestly, my favorite products to sell are the Star turbines and the Star 430 Torque. The Star turbine is unique because practices can change out a turbine in-office in less than 5 minutes, which ensures they have no downtime, from either sending handpieces out to be fixed or having an outside company change the turbine. Plus, OEM turbines with Star mean either a 1- or 2-year warranty depending on LubeFree or Lubricated. I feel great selling something so useful and practical.

The 430 Torque is great to sell because it gives the clinician all the benefits of the workhorse 430 but an increase in power to 27W, to help with cutting and other procedures.
