Dustin came to DENTALEZ early in 2016, after his tenure at Henry Schein Dental as an Equipment & Technology Sales Specialist. He quickly advanced through his position as a Territory Sales Manager and DENTALEZ Business Partner to his current role as our Special Markets Manager.
We asked Dustin to tell us a little more about his work with DENTALEZ and what he enjoys most in his current position.
What do you like about working in the dental industry?
On a daily basis, I get to talk about, and demo, some of the best equipment and handpieces on the market. I enjoy the reactions I get when I show the great features and benefits of our equipment lines.
Which aspects of your previous role(s) helped you learn specific things for your position today?
It’s really about building relationships. At Schein, the work led me to become pretty specialized in capital equipment sales as well as 3D & 2D technology sales. I built relationships and familiarity with all the equipment manufacturers, supply reps and manufacturer reps. I brought that with me to DENTALEZ, where I started as a Territory Sales Manager, strengthening and building very strong and lasting relationships with supply reps and equipment reps with multiple dealers (I still get calls and texts regularly from reps asking questions or just to touch base!). In my current role I get to expand my reach and connections with VA hospitals, universities and military bases.
What's your favorite aspect of your job?
I enjoy working with VA hospitals. I have a long line of military service in my family including my wife who is an officer in the Kansas Army National Guard. I feel, especially with Star, that we have the best products that provide the best patient outcomes and give the dentists the best tools to provide exceptional care for our veterans.
What's your favorite DENTALEZ product and why?
