In addition, the Amalgam HoG complies with all existing and pending state regulations. The Amalgam HoG meets all proposed Environmental Protection Agency regulations and is compatible with all new standards, preparing users with early compliance. Malvern, PA (March 17, 2015) – DentalEZ®, a supplier of integrated products and services for dental health professionals worldwide, is pleased to introduce various updates to its classic DentalEZ brand. With an official tagline of “Integrated Solutions,” and now simply referred to as “DentalEZ,” the Company unveiled some of its recent rebranding efforts such as a new color palette, logo, and a freshly designed exhibit booth at this year’s Chicago Midwinter Dental Meeting.

Utility Room Booth

With the acquisition of various new companies and products throughout the years, DentalEZ has established a diverse yet very broad assortment of products. The company’s current rebranding efforts will ensure that its entire portfolio is streamlined in order to tell a clear story about its ever-growing product offerings and organization.

DentalEZ® Equipment Solutions

NevinLabs Workstation Solutions

RAMVAC® Utility Solutions

StarDental® Instrument Solutions

“With this more unified and simplistic approach to branding, we plan to increase clarity of what our company offerings are, while raising awareness and understanding across all product lines of DentalEZ and our many ‘Integrated Solutions,’” remarked Lisa Lee, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “In the next year we will have gradual updates of all materials, websites, and signage. CMW 2015 Recap

Written by

Industry innovation, new products and educational opportunities were just a few highlights of the 150th Chicago Dental Society’s Midwinter Meeting held just a little over a week ago.

DentalEZ’s brand new booth made its first public appearance. With a modern and clean design, the fully staged operatories and utility room allowed customers to easily see not just our individual product’s quality, but how well they complement one another to create an ideal workspace.

Several new DentalEZ innovations were introduced in Chicago, including the NextGen® Sterilization Center, which provides a sytem for dental teams that allows them to work in a single instrument process flow. Also seen for the first time was our basic cabinetry line which is designed to deliver a great balance of form and function while keeping a budget in mind. We were also excited to present the RAMVAC Amalgam HoG. The HoG sets the industry standard when it comes to retention (99.7%), which not only extends the life of your vacuum pump but meets all EPA proposed guidelines. To learn more about all of these products, be sure to check out our products page or contact your Territory Sales Manager

In addition to a busy exhibit hall, there was a great turnout at Dr. Bregman’s session discussing early oral cancer detection and the important role that the Identafi system plays. And, last but not least, the Midwinter Meeting wouldn’t be complete without the Gala!

Thanks to Chicago Dental Society for hosting a great event and congratulations on 150 years. We’re already looking forward to next year’s meeting!

DentalEZ’s Own Pro-darter Travels to Taipei

Written by

We’re excited to share that DentalEZ’s Southern California Territory Sales Manager, James Hopkins, is on his way to Taipei later this month to compete in the 10th Annual Taiwan Open Dart Tournament. This is James’ first time representing Team USA in Taiwan, but since he and his teammates are all pro-darters in both soft tip and steel, we like their odds!

The tournament will be hosted at the Sunworld Dynasty Hotel Taipei and consists of Singles, Endurance, and International Team competitions throughout March 21st and 22nd. All of us at DentalEZ are proud of James for making it this far and wish him the best of luck at the competition.

If you don’t want to miss any of the dart action, be sure to check our Facebook page as we’ll be posting the live stream link as we get closer to the event.

Best of luck to James and the rest of Team USA!

We’re headed to Boston! From March 7th – 10th, DentalEZ will be participating in the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Annual Session & Exhibition.

This year’s theme, Unlocking minds, igniting potential, sets the stage perfectly for TruSim, a simulator so realistic it makes the transition to a clinical environment even easier. The integrated nature of our product lines will be showcased at our booth, as visitors will be able to see how TruSim, Columbia Dentoform and NevinLabs products all work together to create the optimal learning environment.

The exhibits are open on Sunday and Monday. You can find us at Booth #111, to the left of the ADEA posters in the left side of the Exhibitor Hall. If you’d like to learn more about the event, you can visit the ADEA’s website, www.adea.org.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Shedding Light on Gray Markets

Written by

If you work in the dental field, whether as a dentist, hygienist, manufacturer or dealer, chances are you’ve heard about gray markets and their effect on both patients and the industry. In response to the growing prevalence of gray market products, Patterson Dental has launched www.DentalSupplyIntegrity.com, a site designed to increase industry awareness and patient safety by providing resources and information to help distinguish gray market products.

First, what exactly is a gray market product?  According to the FDA, they are products sold outside of the established distribution chain. The FDA explains that in some instances, "A supplier may purchase products intended for a foreign market and then import and sell the product in the U.S. The original manufacturer did not intend the product for the U.S. market, and it may or may not comply with U.S. laws and regulations.*"

Regardless of how a product enters the gray market, whether it’s unintentionally imported or knowingly sold without meeting FDA standards, the effect on dental practices is the same. The inability to have confidence in product safety and the burden of liability resulting from product failure are just two problems among many.  In addition, supply chains of potentially unsafe gray market products and outright illegal black market products are often the same, making it difficult to distinguish between the two.

Interactive tools available on Patterson’s site, like the one shown below, are intended to educate dental professionals about these issues.

Along with interactive tools, the site also provides tips about identifying gray market products.

“Although these products may be difficult to identify, there are several proactive methods you can use to identify what may be a gray market or even counterfeit dental supply: Low price. The product is selling for significantly below the known market price. You may research a product’s market price by reviewing major dental retailer’s online or printed catalogs. Unknown distributor. If the company selling the product does not have a readily recognizable name, be suspicious. In today’s information age, it is very easy to research legitimate distributors and businesses. All major manufacturers will have lists of their authorized distributors available for you to use. Suspicious packaging. Thoroughly examine the printing on all packages. If the package is unclear, smeared, irregular, uneven or not of the same quality you have previously observed on packaging of products with the same brand name, it may be from the gray market. Other packaging issues may include old product names, passed expiration dates, lack of a bar code, omitted disclaimers or other mandated regulatory verbiage. Be sure the label on the product matches the product name on the directions for use.”

National Children’s Dental Health Month

Written by

As we approach the end of February, it signifies the close of National Children’s Dental Health Month (NCDHM). The NCDHM began as a single day event in Cleveland, OH back in 1941 and has grown tremendously during the past eight decades. The month long health observance provides a national platform for educating both kids and parents about the importance of developing good oral health practices early in life. This year’s theme, Defeat Monster Mouth, highlighted the basics of brushing, flossing and rinsing.

The American Dental Association and the ADA Foundation not only provide educational materials during February, but also kickoff the annual Give Kids a Smile program. This year, the first event was held on February 6th at A.T. Still University in Arizona. Give Kids a Smile, now in its 13th year, has more than 8,000 dentists providing dental care to nearly 330,000 underserved children in 2015 alone.

If you’d like to provide services, volunteer, or locate a dentist for your child, you can learn more here.
