Columbia Dentoform is pleased to share our recent suport for Miracle Corners of the World (MCW) and their Oral Health Care Program, specifically the MUHAS Dental School in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Columbia models are designed realistically so that students are able to practice dental & hygiene procedures before treating patients. These models and replacement teeth can be utilized for teaching restorative, fixed prosthodontics, orthodontic, endodontic, partially edentulous, anatomy and occlusion courses.

Together with the Henry Schein Cares Foundation, we were pleased to donate 860 series models and replacement teeth to MCW for use in the MUHAS Dental School, Tanzania’s only dental school, as part of the Oral Health Care program.

MCW’s Oral Health Care program goals:
  • Achieve improved oral health status for all Tanzanians.
  • Build the capacity of health professionals to tackle the oral health workforce shortage. (By working with Dentists, Nurses and mid-level professionals.)
  • Collaborate with multi-level leadership in government and dental institutions in Tanzania, to identify key projects that will have a sustainable impact in the country, and which are in line with the Strategic Oral Health plan of the Tanzanian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
